ZENOGREFT (heterogeneous grafts) are laboratory produced tissues or tissues and tissue transplants obtained from different species. Artificial (synthetic) bone production based on imitation of laboratory-derived human bone composition has replaced allografts today and has reached an extremely wide range of products. With the introduction of bioprinters into the field, tissue grafts specific to the patient and defective area can be produced.
Another area of Xenografts as common as Allografts is Animal Sourced Grafts. Tissues taken from cattle, horses, pigs and corals are shaped and packaged after special sterilisation and processing processes. Biocompatibility and biosorption are important problems in Animal Sourced grafts.
